A haven of peace in the heart of Bordeaux
The Rooms
Access to the rooms is common; you enter the shared space used by all occupants of the house: the living room and dining room.
Each of the two rooms is located on a different floor, offering the quiet and intimacy necessary for everyone in their private space.
Each 15 m2 room features a comfortable bed (140 cm x 190 cm), a wardrobe or chest of drawers, and an armchair or sofa. The Louise room additionally offers sleeping accommodation for an additional person. The house can thus accommodate one to five people at the same time. All bedding is treated anti-allergies.
To book both rooms at the same time, provided they are indicated as available for your dates, you must make two successive reservations. Each reservation is then processed individually, taking into account specific requests.
Attached to each room, an bathroom with shower and sink (toiletries available: soap, shampoo, makeup remover and cotton wool; towels provided) and toilet facilities are reserved for the use of the room occupants.
Discover below the room that suits you and book.
On the first floor
The Marceline Room
You will be in a quiet setting in this room, whose bright window has a view of the balcony and the landscaped inner courtyard.
Why Marceline, you wonder? The poet Marceline Desbordes-Valmore (1786-1859) marked her era and the French Romantic movement with her very personal and engaged texts. You will discover some of her poems in the room.
The original configuration and decoration of the room give it its modernity, and after a day of visits or work, you will find a place suitable for relaxation with its sofa and its refreshment tray.
The bedding is new and anti-allergy treated. If you are staying with family and have a baby under 3 years old, a crib can be graciously provided in the room.
In case of strong heat, a fan is available, as well as an air cooler, and the electric roller blind allows you to maintain the coolness of the room. In the bathroom, you will find a hairdryer and a heated towel rail.
On the second floor
The Louise Room
Why Louise, you might wonder? Louise Labé (1524-1566), nicknamed "la Belle Cordière," was a pioneer for all women who entered literature after her: facing the poets of the Pleiade (Ronsard, Du Bellay, etc.), she affirmed the value of the female voice in poetry.
Soundproofed and air-conditioned, the room is lit by a large roof window equipped with an electric roller blind, and overlooks the inner courtyard, guaranteeing you the peace for the night. It can accommodate up to three adults, in a double bed with a relaxation base and an 80 x 190 cm BZ radiator.
If you are staying with family and a baby, a crib can also be complimentary provided in the room.
